In the early 1960s, Marshall Erdman, the founder of the company, discovered an exciting new world of technology. During a trip to Europe, Erdman invested in machines that he shipped to his headquarters in Madison. It took nearly two years of perseverance to get the machines up and running, but the result was astounding. With the new machines, 15 employees could produce twice as much product in 20 percent of the time as 50 employees were able to produce working full time.

Marshall decided to put this enormous amount of excess capacity to work by manufacturing residential furniture. With this initial success, Erdman purchased land and built a new factory in 1969 in Waunakee, Wisconsin. Techline manufacturing capabilities have evolved to meet the needs of residential, business and healthcare customers.

After several decades, the roots of Techline furniture and cabinetry can still be found in homes, businesses and medical buildings throughout the United States.

Over the past few years, we have invested in new equipment that allows us to keep alive our founder’s long-term commitment of offering the highest quality furniture and cabinetry using the finest materials available. New products are developed to meet the changing needs of the market without compromising timeless design principles.

With over thirty-five years of combined experience, our dedicated staff consistently strives to meet the needs of our customers and clients with respect to functional workspaces and storage. We are proud of our strong and loyal customer base. It is our continued responsibility to grow this family of Techline users and improve on our tradition of quality manufacturing.
